Punjabi Society

” Greater Atlanta Punjabi Society ” was started in year 2009 by like minded individual who believed in promoting punjabi culture and language among our migrant community and the future generation. The need to create awareness about Punjabi culture among other American communities was felt along with the desire to keep punjabi children in touch  with our background and roots. The thought that if we forget about culture we could be a lost community, made us to create a cohesive strong group to promote punjabi culture and make our culture stay in tact. Since it’s inception GAPS have been arranging three (3) major functions every year I.e Vaisakhi, Diwali and LOHRI on regular basis. The attendance at the functions have shown continued growth. The young generation’s participation have been tremendous and ever increasing . They eagerly await for the next event. Under dynamic leadership of our Chairperson Krishan Goyal and President Vir Nanda, and other Board and Executive members we are proud to say that GAPS will be always on a growth path, will achieve next level and fulfill its mission to promote punjabi’s, punjabi culture among the future generation and other American Communities.
